With 25 years experience as a consultant physician and now as a menopause specialist, I am seeing patients for the treatment and management of perimenopause and menopause.

I want to empower women to understand the perimenopause and menopause transition so they are better equipped to benefit from the latest evidence based  scientific studies.

Replacing low hormones, Oestrogen, Progesterone and Testosterone is essential for women struggling with perimenopause and menopause symptoms, to relieve symptoms, improve quality of life and support long-term health and well being.

Many women are denied HRT because they are too young, too old or because of their family history of breast cancer, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary emboli and other medical conditions.

Women live with Coronary Artery Disease, Stroke, Diabetes, Depression, Anxiety, Urinary tract infections, Migraines, Headaches, Osteoporosis/Osteopenia, Epilepsy, Ulcerative Colitis, Long Covid, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia and many other medical conditions.

Women are also cancer survivors, Breast cancer, Colorectal cancer, Cervical cancer, Endometrial cancer, Lung cancer, Ovarian cancer, Lymphoma, Skin cancer and many more.

All women struggling with perimenopause and menopause symptoms need to be given the opportunity to discuss their symptoms and explore treatment options.

Women treated for Breast Cancer deserve access to high quality, evidence based menopause care and treatment. Many breast cancer survivors experience menopausal symptoms that negatively impact their quality of life. It is important to recognise that each Breast cancer case is different and Breast cancer survivors need to be provided with individualised menopause care.

As a Consultant Physician and Menopause Specialist, I explore patients medical history with them and take a holistic approach providing personalised and individualised care.

Every woman should be empowered to seek help and support, with shared decision making and informed consent HRT can be considered for all women.

The hormonal changes of menopause tend to make it more likely that women will gain weight and find it difficult to loose this weight. Weight gain will increase your risk of many health conditions including, heart disease, diabetes, some types of cancers and also impact mental health. If loosing weight, maintaining weight feels like a full time job you may benefit from GLP-1 agonists, Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro.

I want to empower women to be the best version of themselves going forward.
